10 Heroic Archetypes!
1. One of the Heroic Archetypes in this novel was, Merlin. Without Merlin, King Arthur would never had been crowned king or successfully created the round table. Throughout the book, Merlin helped Arthur achieve many things and gave him wise advice.
2. Another Heroic Archetype in the King Arthur and His Knights of The Round Table was Excalibur, King Arthur's sword. This sword was given to him by the river spirit. This sword was on a magical spell that it would be the strongest, most dangerous and that only Arthur can use it! This sword helped King Arthur win many battles with his enemies.
3. One more Heroic Archetype in this book, is the anvil. It was said that the person that pulled out the sword would be the king of all England. King Arthur needed a sword to give to his father, so King Arthur, in a hurry, took the sword from the stone with ease without reading the sign. Because of this, King Arthur became the King of all England and made the highly respected, Round Table!
4. Another Heroic Archetype was the Holy Grail. All the kings in England wanted the Holy Grail and had sent there most worthy knights to retrieve it. King Arthur sent Lancelot, Percival, and two others to fetch the grail for the round table. After king Arthur had achieved the grail, he was given more respect and more knights wanted to join the Round table!
5. One more archetype is how the knights always saved the maiden from the forces of evil. Many times in the book and other literature pieces the knight is normally the savior of the maiden/queen. An example in this story is how Sir Lancelot saved the queen.
